PETG – polyethylene terephthalate. PETG is a flexible, transparent and impact-resistant plastic and is therefore well suited to projects where the material needs to be robust. PETG is particularly well suited to stencils, amongst other things. The material has a glossy finish on both the front and back.

Line and surface engraving
PETG can be engraved using both line engraving and surface engraving, but is only recommended for purposes such as labelling and identifying objects. We recommend light to medium engraving, as the heat generated by heavy engraving can cause PETG to melt. The engraved area takes on a slight sheen.
Surface engraving is only possible in A-sizes.
Laser cutting
Top – PETG is supplied as standard with a protective film on the top side. No burn marks along the cut line.
Edges – the edges look clean and free from visible marks.
Reverse side – PETG is supplied as standard with a protective film on the reverse side. No burn marks along the cutting path, but a small amount of smoke may penetrate beneath the film.
